Call 305-443-0102 between 9:00 and 5:00 Spanish, Haitian-Creole, Portuguese and French are spoken The Florida Freedom Partnership (FFP) in Dade County, a Department of Justice & Office of Refugee Resettlement grantee for comprehensive services to victims of human trafficking, has agreed to be the first point of referral for this population of victims. Florida Freedom Partnership offers case management, shelter, legal services, and medical and mental health care to victims of human trafficking in Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Collier, and Monroe Counties. Victims may contact Florida Freedom partnership's information line directly or be referred by law enforcement, the Department of Justice, service providers, or good Samaritans. The Rapid Response Team, which includes the program specialist, a mental health advocate, and a translator responds directly to cases. Case managers provide victims with on-site rapid assessment and intake, an orientation of services available to victims of human trafficking, coordination between network agencies, bus passes, cash assistance, employment services, referrals to service providers, and service plans, which include post-certification. Shelter is available to victims in a safe, undisclosed facility that has twenty-four hour monitoring and security. On site, victims receive basic health care services including a general exam, immunizations, a tuberculosis test, and referrals to a hospital or clinic that offers free services to individuals without income or health insurance. Three meals a day are available to victims staying at the shelter. Clinical intervention counselors give on-site crisis intervention and twenty-five hours of individual counseling to victims to help them achieve stability. Lawyers and paralegals aid victims with any criminal charges and immigration issues at no cost to the victim. They help obtain and file paperwork for the Department of Health and Human Services' certification letter, employment authorization document, T-visa, fee waivers, and file supplements for family members. FFP serves both pre- and post-certified victims of human trafficking.
