We offer a wide range of services to help refugees and immigrants settle into successful new lives in the United States. These services are intended for those who plan to make the U.S. their permanent home and are either asylees or sponsored immigrants.
Refugee Youth ProgramLearning a new language, culture, education system, parenting and job skills can take time. Our Refugee Youth & Family “Education” program aims to make these things easier for individuals and families, so they can get off to a “SUCCESS”-full start. The program offers:
Services are free to eligible Collier County refugees and entrants who have been in the country less than five years. Programs are available at the Refugee Youth & Family Program The following services are available as part of our Refugee ServicesRefugee Employment & Placement (REAP)Securing employment is an important step for resettled refugees to achieve stability and self-sufficiency as they build their new lives. Our REAP program provides pre-screening and assessment, job training and on-the-job counseling, and connects resettled refugees with prospective employers that can offer full-time jobs with benefits. This program is funded by the Florida Department of Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement. Immigration and Naturalization AssistanceNavigating and completing the paperwork necessary to obtain legal residency and work authorization, and eventually gain U.S. citizenship can be a confusing and lengthy process. Our staff members are familiar with documents immigrants need and available to help complete and file proper applications and assist with legal issues.
