A mission of compassion
The mission of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice, Inc., is to fight poverty, strengthen families and build communities. Agency services and programs shall ensure human dignity and enhance the quality of life for all persons regardless of race, creed, color or religious affiliation. The populations we serve across all our programs can be seen in the accompanying demographic reports. The vast majority are at or below the poverty level as determined by current Federal Standards.

Our service population includes individuals, couples, children, families, single parents, non-custodial families, refugees, migrant farm workers, and many others in need of specific assistance.

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Venice is accredited by the Council on Accreditation, an international, independent, not-for-profit, child and family service and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization. Organizations that earn COA accreditation have demonstrated a focus on continuously improving service delivery, internal processes and procedures, and employee morale to ensure efficiency and impact.
We have also received a four-star efficiency rating – the highest possible – from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities. More than 90 percent of our money is spent directly on programs, meaning we have very little overhead and use our funding and donations efficiently.
